Malone Axis™ Bed Extender with Single VersaRail™

Hauling a kayak or canoe in a truck without scratching the cab or losing half the bed to the boat is a challenge that the right extender system solves cleanly.

The Malone Axis Bed Extender with Single VersaRail transforms a standard pickup into a capable watercraft hauler with two distinct configurations. In the vertical position it functions as a rear-of-vehicle load bar, supporting the tail end of a long boat while the bow rests on a cab-mounted bar. In the horizontal position it extends the effective bed length, freeing up usable truck bed space for gear. Eight height settings spanning 55.5" to 62.5" and ten width settings from 28" to 48" let you dial in the fit for different truck beds and load combinations, and the included anti-wobble bracket keeps the hitch connection tight and rattle-free on the road.

The 58" VersaRail attaches to the cab end using 75 lb pull-strength vacuum tower bases and 1.5" safety attachment straps, completing the two-point support system for rooftop-style kayak transport without permanent roof rack installation. The rectangular load bar profile is compatible with most rack accessories, and no additional tools are required beyond the included wrench.
