Rotala Florida Sunset

Rotala Florida Sunset is a variation of Rotala Ramosior that isn’t as rare as it once was in the aquascaping community. It is a demanding aquatic stem plant that features saturated color when kept in stable, a high tech planted tank. In less than ideal conditions, color and form will quickly reflect the aquarium’s deficiencies.

Sunset grows at a moderate pace and stays relatively small when compared to other fast-growing Rotala varieties. It is an upright stem plant and is a great choice for planted aquariums with high CO2, lighting and nutrients. It doesn’t readily branch out and will need to be trimmed then replanted to create denser groups. While it isn’t a beginner aquascaping plant, its care is straightforward and can be learned with time and patience. If you like pink, red or purple plants, add this Rotala to your list!
